It just so happens that Sean was working in the same end-of-the-road town of Punta Gorda at the same time as us! Crazy. He was here for most of April and we miss him!! We had a lot of great adventures with sean-o, most of which included finding great swimming holes, caving, drinking Belikin (the local Belizean brew), and of course lots of laughs.

Here are Sean and I at our fave swimming hole, and Jim and Sean with our 'cave master' guide Sylvano in one humid cave!
Our good friend Tommy Mo is also working in central america these days and he was able to pop down to southern Belize a few weeks ago and we had some fun adventures with him too! We drove to one of the most remote towns in southern belize (right on the Guatemalan border) called San Benito to search for some ruins (we found part of the ruin, but we were too hot by10 am to keep searching!). That day we also visited a butterfly farm, ate stewed gibunt (a wild rodent that is considered a Belizean specialty) and went swimming at the good old Blue Creek swimming hole. Lots of fun to be had down here and it is especially wonderful to share it with good friends.

Here we are hiking out of San Benito in search of an unescavated ancient Mayan ruin and Tom makes his way across a creek outside of San Benito
