This afternoon has been spent reading and napping. pretty nice. we are headed to a potluck party tonight for a friend who is heading to Oxford to do a masters after working for 7 years in belize for one of the other indigenous conservation orgs in town. It should be a fun party...still have to decide what to bring. the beer at least is bought and on ice : )

We had a wicked fun visit with Danna and Theeus last week who visited us from Ottawa. We were stoked to spend some quality time with them and tour them around. Highlights included snorkeling and sailing on the reef off Caye Caulker, drinking rum punch, hanging and playing cards on the porch of our sweet Reef house, touring the Belize zoo in the rain, crazy & beautiful bus trip down the hummingbird highway, checking out the mayan ruins at Lubantuun, yummy picnic of guacamole, burritos and oranges by the San Antonio falls, suspension bridge crossing at Rio Blanco falls, making tofu (and flax seed muffins, veggie burgers, tortillas, etc.etc.) with gomier, being there when Theeus got down on one knee and proposed to Danna in the middle of the ball court at Nim Li Punit ruins!!! that was definitely such an amazing highlight- congrats you two!! so stoked for your mayan theme wedding ; ) big hats and faux jaguar attire for all! and of course the celebratory pushing of the Trooper down front street and drinks at southside bar! woo! (the truck is back in operation now- hooray!)

good times. great times.
Here are Danna and Theeus right after their engagement surrounded by jungle in the middle of a mayan ruin! Woo!!
